ZenaTech Drone Service Hub

ZenaTech Opens 23rd Global Drone as a Service Hub in Orlando to Target Federal and Defense Contracts

Vancouver based ZenaTech, Inc. has officially opened its 23rd global Drone as a Service location, establishing a new operational hub in the Orlando area to expand its footprint in government and defense markets.

The new site operates within the company’s existing Orlando headquarters facility and is designed to serve federal, state, county, and municipal agencies. The focus is clear. Surveying and mapping for defense installations, transportation infrastructure, and energy assets.

Florida’s dense concentration of military bases, aviation infrastructure, and transportation corridors makes it a high value territory for geospatial services. By embedding a Drone as a Service unit directly into its Orlando headquarters, ZenaTech positions itself closer to procurement channels while aligning with its Washington D.C. business development teams.

10 Person Technical Team to Launch Operations by April

The Orlando DaaS location will be staffed by a ten person team consisting of:

  • Licensed drone pilots.
  • Land survey technicians.
  • Business development personnel.

Hiring is underway, along with equipment deployment including survey grade drones, field trucks, and supporting hardware. Full operational capability is expected by early April.

In the initial phase, the company will execute surveying and mapping contracts for defense sector clients using traditional ground based survey methods. This allows immediate revenue generation while regulatory certifications are secured.

Green and Blue UAS Certification to Enable Military and Airport Drone Operations

ZenaTech plans to obtain both Green UAS and Blue UAS certifications. These approvals are critical for drone deployment on military bases and other sensitive federal sites.

Once certifications are in place, drone based services will include:

  • Military base topographic surveys.
  • Airport and runway layout planning.
  • Federal land mapping.
  • Critical defense infrastructure inspection.

The Orlando hub will also continue supporting commercial clients such as construction firms, builders, golf course operators, and public works agencies.

Drone as a Service Model Expands Without Capital Burden for Agencies

ZenaTech’s Drone as a Service platform provides on demand and subscription based access to aerial data acquisition and inspection services. Clients avoid capital investment in aircraft, pilot training, maintenance, and compliance.

Service categories include:

  • Surveying and mapping.
  • Infrastructure inspection.
  • Maintenance and power washing.
  • Inventory management.
  • Precision agriculture.

The company’s strategy centers on acquiring established service providers that currently rely on conventional processes. These businesses serve as revenue anchored local platforms for integrating advanced drone systems that improve speed, precision, safety, and data quality.
